About Tesalys
Tesalys designs and manufactures the STERIPLUS and STERISHRED systems, which shred and steam-decontaminate infectious medical waste (DASRI) at 135°C so that it can be treated at the site where it is generated. The company states a microbiological reduction of 8 log10 and a shredded output under 30 mm.
Customers are hospitals and clinics, medical centres, haemodialysis centres, and laboratories and research sites. Revenue comes from equipment sales together with installation, training, maintenance contracts and spare parts, provided by Tesalys engineers or by its network of authorised distributors.
Tesalys was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Saint-Jean, near Toulouse, France, where its factory and training centre are located. The website states that 640 machines are installed in 67 countries and that the systems treat 11,520 tonnes of infectious waste per year. The equipment is designed and assembled in France.
Product: STERIPLUS and STERISHRED on-site infectious waste shredding and steam sterilisation systems, with installation, training, maintenance and spare parts.
