About Tempo
Tempo (Tempo Software) makes strategic portfolio management (PPM) and time-tracking software that works on top of Jira. Its products include Timesheets, Tempo for Jira, Structure PPM, Tempo Loop and Workforce Intelligence, which tracks human hours and AI spend per Jira issue. The website says the platform also connects work from Azure DevOps and Linear.
The customers are organizations that run their work in Jira; the site reports more than 30,000 customers and more than one third of the Fortune 500. Tempo sells per-user subscriptions in cloud and data center editions, and offers free trials. Its pricing page lists per-user tiers that decrease as team size grows.
The company traces its origins to an internal project at TM Software in Iceland in 2007. Its listed offices and team hubs are Boston (HQ), Montreal, Košice, Kyiv and Reykjavík, and the website describes more than 350 remote-first team members. Diversis Capital invested in 2018, and the company's timeline lists acquisitions between 2021 and 2024. Open roles span engineering, sales, product and marketing across several countries, including Spain, Poland, Ireland, Canada, the United States and Germany.
