About Teknoware
Teknoware Rail & Road designs, develops and manufactures lighting and interior solutions for public transport vehicles, including trains, buses and trams. The range covers interior and exterior vehicle lighting, lighting control, and interior solutions such as ceiling and partition panels, wall panels, and cupboards and storage units.
Its customers are the leading vehicle and rolling stock manufacturers worldwide. Reference projects listed on the website include Siemens' Brightline West high-speed trains in the USA, the CrossCountry Voyager fleet in the UK and new lighting for Helsinki trams.
Teknoware has been developing lighting solutions since 1972, when it was founded in Lahti, Finland, and it remains family-owned. The legal entity Teknoware Rail & Road Oy was founded in October 2025 and is part of the Teknopower Group. The wider Teknoware group employs around 500 people in eight countries, with offices in Finland, the United States, the United Kingdom, Poland, Malaysia, Sweden, Germany and Dubai. Open positions include a technical service manager and a technical expert in Lahti, and a machine operator in Poland.
