About Surfactgreen
SurfactGreen develops and sells surfactants made from renewable raw materials. Its CosmeGreen range covers conditioning agents, emulsifiers and a sulfate-free foaming agent for personal care, the DeterGreen range targets household products and the EmulGreen range targets industrial uses. Up to 100% bio-based, the products are presented as readily biodegradable.
Customers are formulators and manufacturers who use the surfactants as ingredients in their products. The company sells these ingredients directly to formulators.
SurfactGreen SAS was created at the end of 2016 by two inventors and four entrepreneurs, and its technology was developed by the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes. The team and R&D centre are in Rennes, France. The company reports 8 international patents published from 1984 to 2020, raised 1.2 million euros in equity and received BPI grants and loans totalling 0.5 million euros. Its CosmeGreen PC50 won the First Prize for Innovation at SEPAWA 2025 in Berlin.
