About Suomen Kunttamestarit

Suomen Kunttamestarit supplies kuntta (siirtovarvikko), a dwarf-shrub forest-floor mat mainly made of lingonberry and blueberry plants. It is used in place of a lawn to cover yards and public areas. The mat is harvested from dry, sunny pine heaths in Northern Finland and delivered in rolls of about 10 square metres (5 m by 2 m). Customers can install it themselves or order installation from the company. Care guidance covers watering during the first summer, after which the mat needs little maintenance.

Prices start at 14.50 € per square metre delivered and 18.00 € per square metre installed, depending on the ordered area, shipping distance and installation difficulty. Customers can request a quote through the website. The business traces its origins to 2008, when founder Markku Hirvasoja began moving forest floor for his own landscaping company, and it later started selling to other customers.

The company was founded in 2022 and is registered in Lehmo, Finland. It delivers kuntta across the Nordic countries.

Product: Kuntta (siirtovarvikko), a lingonberry and blueberry forest-floor mat sold delivered or installed by the square metre for yard coverage.
