About Sulefisk
Sulefisk AS farms salmon in sea cages at six active sites on the island of Solund, at the outer end of the Sognefjord in Norway, under five licences. Underwater cameras in all cages record fish welfare around the clock, and built-in sensors measure temperature and oxygen saturation. Smolt for its grow-out sites is supplied by Sol Smolt AS.
The company sells its harvested salmon and earns revenue from those sales. It reports an average production of 4,000 tonnes of salmon per year, which it puts at about 20 million salmon dinners. Sulefisk also gives financial support to local clubs and organisations and works with the municipality on local projects.
Founded in 2013, the company is registered as an AS with its headquarters in Hardbakke, Norway. It is covered by the Norwegian Transparency Act and is an approved training company for aquaculture apprentices. Open roles include an aquaculture apprentice and an operations technician (driftsteknikar / røktar) responsible for feeding, boat operation, equipment maintenance and quality system follow-up.
