Strava

Strava provides a mobile app and website for athletes that records activities from smartphones and GPS devices and shows performance metrics such as speed, pace, distance and Relative Effort. Users share activities, follow friends and join clubs, challenges, segments and routes. The desktop site adds training plans, route planning and activity breakdowns.

The app is free to join and use, and the website describes over 100 million active people as members. An optional Strava Subscription adds features such as Beacon, which shares a user's real-time location with up to three safety contacts. The website does not describe other revenue streams.

The website lists offices or job locations in San Francisco, New York, Denver, Dublin and London. At the time of collection, 35 open roles were listed across engineering, data and AI, security, product, design, marketing, finance and legal.
