About Stinger Technology

Stinger Technology develops, manufactures and operates lightweight remotely operated and autonomous underwater vehicles, along with subsea sensors, docking, charging and data-transfer systems. It provides ROV services for inspection, maintenance, repair and drill support.

Customers use its equipment and services for subsea operations, testing and qualification. The company also develops custom tools and supports testing of other autonomous underwater vehicles.

Founded in 2003, Stinger Technology is headquartered in Stavanger, where its vehicles and equipment are developed, produced and assembled. It is one of eight owners of Tau Autonomy Center, established in 2020 for training, testing and qualification of underwater and aerial autonomous drones.
