About Stem Genomics

Stem Genomics is a French biotech company that develops and performs genomic stability and identity testing for human stem cells. Its flagship product is iCS-digital PSC, a digital PCR-based assay for in-process genomic stability testing of human pluripotent stem cells. Other services include karyotyping, G-banding, STR cell line authentication, mycoplasma detection, pluripotency testing, next-generation sequencing assays and customised assays.

Customers are research scientists and organisations working on human stem cells, from academic institutions to biotech companies and core facilities. The company sells testing services per assay, and also offers a one-stop-shop package combining digital karyotyping, G-banding, mycoplasma detection, cell authentication and pluripotency testing.

Stem Genomics was founded in 2018 as a spin-out of the Institute for Regenerative Medicine & Biotherapy (IRMB) in Montpellier, co-founded by Prof. John de Vos and Dr. Said Assou. It operates laboratories in Montpellier, France, and in Durham, North Carolina, where it serves North American clients. The company is part of the Clean Cells group, which offers GMP release testing and cell banking.

Product: iCS-digital PSC digital PCR assay for genomic stability of human pluripotent stem cells, plus karyotyping, STR authentication, mycoplasma and pluripotency testing.
