Star Finanz GmbH develops online and mobile banking software for the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. Its products include the StarMoney multibanking software for PC, Mac, smartphone and tablet, the SFirm electronic banking software for businesses and public bodies, and the App Factory, which develops the App Sparkasse and related apps such as S-pushTAN, S-Invest and mobile payment. Its Digital Solutions unit offers strategy, UX design, MVP development, software engineering, and operation and maintenance for Sparkassen, Landesbanken and other financial institutions.

Customers are Sparkassen, Landesbanken and partners in the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, as well as end users of StarMoney and SFirm. The company is a 100% subsidiary of Finanz Informatik GmbH & Co. KG, the IT service provider of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. It also hosts the Sparkassen Innovation Hub, the innovation lab of the group.

Star Finanz GmbH was founded in 1997 and has been part of Finanz Informatik since 1 August 2010. It has offices in Hamburg and Hannover, and its website states 350 employees across these sites. Open roles are mainly in Hamburg, covering product management, design and research, Android development and dual studies or apprenticeships.
