About Sports Connected

Sports Connected Oy develops Nimenhuuto.com, a web and mobile service for organising amateur sports teams. Teams use it for event sign-ups where members mark themselves as IN or OUT, a shared team calendar, automatic weekly emails, text messages and e-mails to members, member lists, file sharing and attendance statistics. Teams can also order team websites and post player listings in a public player market.

The customers are amateur and junior sports teams, mainly in Finland, along with their players, parents and coaches. The company sells team websites under a published price list and offers advertising to advertisers, for which it publishes a media kit and advertising rates.

Sports Connected Oy is headquartered in Helsinki and was founded in 2009. The service was first built as an in-house tool by a recreational basketball team and was opened to all teams in 2008, according to the company. The company states that it is working on expansion to other markets, naming Germany, France and English-speaking markets.

Product: Nimenhuuto.com web and mobile service for team event sign-ups, shared calendars, member messaging, team websites and player listings.
