About Sparkcommodities
Spark Commodities publishes price assessments for LNG and European gas markets, including ICE-listed LNG freight (Spark25S, Spark30S) and cargo (SparkNWE, SparkSWE) benchmarks, regasification fee data, pipeline transit tariffs, European gas end-of-day prices and intraday curves. Data is delivered through a REST API and webhooks, an Excel add-in and Jupyter notebooks.
Its customers are traders, shippers and energy companies in the LNG and gas markets, and the website states that it serves more than 200 companies. The company's revenue comes from providing access to its assessments and data.
The company was launched in early 2019 and is registered as Spark Commodities Pte. Ltd. It has teams in London, Singapore and Paris. Its backers include Kpler Ventures and EEX, and ICE became a shareholder in November 2021. Its current open listing is a spontaneous application for a commercial role in London.
