About Spareya

Spareya builds an app for finding a sports partner or a group to play with. Users create or join meetups by sport, place and time, choose from 137 sports, and see meetups on a map that shows venues and meetups but not people. Before a first meetup, each user completes a one-time liveness check, and the app includes a personal sport log with totals and a yearly recap.

The customers are adults aged 18 and over who want to find people to play sport with, and sports clubs and coaches who register profiles and manage members, training sessions and attendance. The core of the app is free for people and clubs, and the company states that there are no premium features yet.

Spareya was founded in 2026 and is based in Bratislava, Slovakia. Its map covers more than 380,000 venues in 33 countries and more than 55,000 sports shops. Meetups open district by district through "The Great Unlock of Europe", which has been running since 1 August 2026; a district unlocks when 1% of its residents join the waitlist, between 200 and 3,000 people. The app is available in 24 languages.
