About Soundfree

Soundfr builds Soundfr, an AI-based smart microphone paired with a companion app. The device listens for important sounds such as a doorbell, a baby crying, a barking dog or an alarm, and sends instant notifications to a phone or smartwatch. Users can teach the sound recognition to identify sounds in their own environment, and the device converts speech to text in real time, with multilingual support planned.

The product is aimed at people with hearing loss, and it is presented as a single device replacing several separate alert devices. The founder, Diana Legūss, spent two years developing the solution after more than 30 interviews with people with hearing impairments and work with social insurance experts.

The company was founded in 2023 and is based in Tallinn, Estonia.
