sorglosinternet.de

sorglosinternet GmbH sells the sorglosbox, a pre-configured guest WLAN device that is connected once and gives guests internet access without individual registration. Models range from the sorglosbox at up to 50 Mbit/s and the sorglosbox Pro at up to 150 Mbit/s to the sorglos Appliance at up to 500 Mbit/s for larger deployments. Operators manage guest network settings and usage periods online through the "mein sorglos" portal, and can set a welcome page, fixed access times and usage statistics. The company markets the service as free of copyright warning (Abmahnung) risks for the operator.

Customers are holiday apartment operators, hotels, restaurants and cafés, and companies with several sites. Revenue comes from the one-time device purchase plus prepaid usage periods of one to 24 months, with no minimum contract term; the first month is free. Customers named on the website include Cocoon München GmbH and Café Krone.

The company was founded in January 2013 by Wolfgang Lauterbach, Amadeus Scherkenbach and Alexander Prokop, after the idea was developed in 2012. The website reports several thousand installations. It is registered in Germany and publishes its materials in German.
