About Sonair

Sonair develops ADAR One, a safety-certified 3D ultrasonic sensor that detects people and obstacles around autonomous robots and industrial machines. It uses airborne ultrasound, MEMS transducers and signal-processing software to monitor a 180° × 180° sensing volume.

The company sells evaluation kits and commercial sensors to robot manufacturers and industrial automation customers. ADAR One is designed for applications including mobile robots, palletizers, machine tending and packaging lines.

Founded in Oslo in 2022, Sonair is rooted in research at SINTEF and holds patented technology. Its team includes engineering, software, machine-learning, sales and commercial roles; the company says ADAR is shipping to manufacturers around the world.
