About Somis Enterprises

Someturva is a 24/7 service that helps people deal with social media problems such as harassment, bullying, rumours, sexual harassment, spread of intimate images, fake profiles and hate speech. Users report a situation anonymously through an interactive app. Social media specialists, including lawyers, psychologists and social psychologists, assess each report and send back a solution proposal with legal advice, psychological support and practical tools.

Its customers are schools and learning communities, and workplaces and organisations, whose staff and pupils are covered by the service. The service has been used by people aged 7 to 75.

The company was founded in 2017 and is based in Helsinki. It reports more than nine years of work with schools and organisations, over 500,000 people protected and over 5,000 cases resolved. It also publishes an annual report on online crime and a blog on social media topics.
