Sofa Club

Sofa Club designs and sells upholstered sofas and armchairs under its own range names. Customers can choose fabric, back type, comfort level and colour, order free fabric swatches, pay monthly through finance, or buy a five-year care plan. The sofas are made by Tessa Group, a Polish family-run manufacturer that became a shareholder in December 2023.

The company sells direct to consumers rather than through third-party retailers, and states that buyers pay for the sofa rather than a middleman. Sales are made through its website and its showrooms, with next-day delivery offered on some products.

The business was launched in May 2012 by Louis Rose and Tom O'Neill as Furniture4U before becoming Sofa Club. Its headquarters and showroom are in Hertford, and showrooms are listed in Liverpool, Glasgow, Croydon, Newcastle, Cardiff and Edinburgh. The company currently lists eight open roles, mainly retail sales consultants and bar hosts at showrooms, plus a customer experience assistant and a marketing coordinator at Hertford HQ.
