About Smsenvironmental
SMS Environmental provides water hygiene and Legionella control services for buildings, including Legionella risk assessments, water hygiene maintenance, reactive and remedial works, water treatment, water sampling and analysis, cooling tower management, closed system dosing and steam boiler treatment. It also offers air hygiene, HVAC and building decontamination services, training courses and water safety consultancy. Its Opuz cloud software lets clients manage assessments and compliance records online, with IoT remote monitoring.
Customers are organisations responsible for building and water safety in the housing, local authority, university, healthcare, education, infrastructure, industrial, commercial, hotel and leisure sectors, as well as historic estates and facilities management providers. Services are tailored to each client after site visits and packaged to their needs.
The company was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Didcot, with offices in Oxford, Derby, Cardiff and Bellshill. It states that it has over 100 employees, serves nearly 1500 clients across the UK and holds UKAS ISO 17020 accreditation for its risk assessments.
