About Skyfora
Skyfora produces hyper-local weather intelligence by using GNSS receivers already built into telecom cell towers as a real-time atmospheric sensing network. Its outputs include 3D atmospheric tomography, sub-kilometre nowcasts and probabilistic forecasts, and it also deploys its own StreamGNSS micronets. A Data API is offered for access to the data.
Its customers come from critical infrastructure (telecom, electric utilities, data centers), energy (hydro, wind, solar, power trading), urban hubs (airports, ports, urban planning), defence and insurance. The company sells its data and forecasts internationally and works with telecom operators on GNSS data and forecasting partnerships.
Skyfora was founded in 2019 and is headquartered in Helsinki. It closed EUR 4 million in funding in 2025 and reports a first live telecom GNSS meteorology deployment in Europe the same year. The company lists support from the European Space Agency and the EIC Fund.
Product: Weather intelligence from GNSS telecom and StreamGNSS sensor data: nowcasts, 3D tomography and probabilistic forecasts, delivered via a Data API.
