About skleo.de
Skleo Health offers eye screening checks (Augenvorsorge-Check). A partner optician, drugstore or pharmacy takes a digital retinal image, a CE-marked AI system (MDR class IIa) analyses it for 12 markers, and a German-licensed ophthalmologist validates each result. The report is delivered by email within 24 hours. If findings appear, Skleo can book an appointment with a partner ophthalmologist within days.
Customers are consumers, who book checks through the Skleo platform, and partners in optics and retail, who offer the check in their stores. Named partners include dm, Mister Spex and Sanoptis clinics. The company also cooperates scientifically with Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
Skleo originated in the Antler programme and is part of the Scaleup.NRW programme. It has raised a 3 million euro seed round from investors including Antler and Sanoptis. The company has grown quickly since 2024 and reports more than 30,000 checks, 200+ cities and 300+ locations. Its open roles are in Düsseldorf and Munich, covering sales, customer success, content and corporate communications, and founders associate positions.
