SKALIČAN

SKALIČAN is a Czech meat processor that raises pigs, chickens and cattle on its own farms, grows crops for its own feed mill, and processes meat and sausage products at plants in Česká Skalice. The company reports that it manages about 15 thousand hectares of agricultural land.

Its products are sold through company-operated shops under the SKALIČAN name and through butcher shops of the RABBIT holding, which the website says includes 77 butcher shops across the Czech Republic. Processed meat is also delivered by the company's own chilled vehicles. The website states that its plants hold IFS certificates.

The site says the plant began operating in July 1974 under the East Bohemian meat industry, became a joint-stock company in 1992 (registry founding date 1992), and joined the RABBIT CZ holding in 2007.
