About Sensocure
Sensocure AS develops the IscAlert™ biomedical sensor, which measures partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO₂) in tissue to indicate the perfusion status of muscle, subcutaneous tissue, connective tissue and mucosal membranes. The single-use sensor is less than 1 mm in diameter and is intended for short-term use of up to 14 days, with an introducer for placement. The company is also developing CriticAlert™, a sensor system intended to give early warnings of circulatory and respiratory problems.
The product is aimed at surgeons and healthcare organisations. IscAlert™ is CE-marked under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) 2017/745, and the company is ISO 13485 certified. A 510(k) application for FDA clearance is in preparation.
Sensocure was established in 2011 and is headquartered in Skoppum, Norway. The company reports 22 employees, about 65% of whom hold a PhD or MSc degree. Its first clinical trial of IscAlert™ was completed in June 2022.
