About Sensapex

Sensapex makes micromanipulators, motorized microscopes and automated micropipette pressure control products for electrophysiology and imaging research. Its uM workstations combine these products with third-party optics, and an open-source SDK allows all products to be controlled from a PC over Ethernet. The company designs and manufactures its products in-house in Oulu, Finland, and holds patents on its core technologies.

Its customers are research laboratories working in electrophysiology and imaging. The company states that it has more than 800 customers in over 40 countries, reached through its own offices and a worldwide partner network.

Sensapex was established in 2008 in Oulu to commercialise micropositioning technology developed in a University of Oulu laboratory. Its first micromanipulator shipped in December 2011. The company has an office in the USA in addition to its Oulu headquarters.

Product: uMp micromanipulators, uMs motorized microscopes and uMc automated pressure control products, sold alone or as uM workstations.
