SchwörerHaus plans and manufactures prefabricated houses in timber-frame and hybrid construction, including single-family houses, bungalows, multi-family buildings and FlyingSpaces wood modules. Production takes place at the company's main plant in Hohenstein-Oberstetten, where it also runs its own sawmill, wood processing and a biomass combined heat and power plant.

Customers are homebuilding families, private investors, housing companies and municipalities. Its Objektbau unit also builds hotels, care facilities and public buildings. The company offers planning, production, assembly and service from a single source and sells houses under building contracts. It also supplies wood products, precast concrete parts and ventilation systems.

The company traces its origins to 1950, when Hans Schwörer KG Baustoffhandel was founded, and is run as a family business in its second generation. It has about 1,680 employees at seven sites in Germany. Its headquarters are in Hohenstein-Oberstetten on the Swabian Alb, and it has a plant in Sigmaringen. Its 39 open positions cover construction trades, production, engineering, sales and office roles.
