Scalera provides an AI platform that reads construction tenders and bills of quantities in PDF, scan, Excel, GAEB, NPK and ÖNORM formats, extracts line items and matches them to products from building-product catalogues. It can also distribute tender items by trade to suppliers, send supplier requests by e-mail, and export matched tenders via CSV, XML, GAEB or API to ERP, CPQ or CRM systems.

Customers are building-product manufacturers, distributors and tender processors. The website lists over 150 customers in Switzerland, Germany and Austria and names companies such as Frauenthal, ACO, Dormakaba, Daikin, Holcim and Würth. Pricing is subscription-based, with tiers defined by the number of tender requests per year and the number of supported sites.

Scalera describes itself as an ETH Zurich spin-off that began as an AI consultancy within the ETH ecosystem. The company reports 6.5 million USD in funding and more than 8 billion in construction volume processed in the DACH region. Its office is in central Zurich, and job listings include Forward Deployed Engineer (Zurich; Germany) and Senior Backend Engineer (Python) roles in Zurich, one of them remote.
