About Rudolf Hensel

Rudolf Hensel GmbH develops and manufactures passive structural fire-protection systems. Its HENSOTHERM and HENSOMASTIK product lines include coatings for steel, wood, cables and concrete, fire-resistant joints, and wall and ceiling penetration systems. The water-based products are stated to be VOC-free. A free Revit plugin developed with MagiCAD links penetration planning to suitable penetration systems, and the company offers a product selector for configuring penetration solutions.

Its customers are planners and installers of fire-protection systems, as well as industrial clients. The website names applications in aviation, shipping, rail vehicles, power plants, renewable energy, modular construction, automotive and e-mobility, and electrical and information technology.

The company was founded in 1922 as a paint and varnish factory and is independent of any group. Its headquarters and production site is in Börnsen near Hamburg, covering more than 20,000 square metres, and it has held ISO 9001 certification since 1997. It is currently hiring for five roles in Börnsen and Hamburg: a fire-protection test technician, a coating application technician, an application engineer for fire-protection coatings, a paint developer in R&D, and a production and machine operator.
