About Roboxi

Roboxi builds a modular autonomous robot for airport runways, taxiways and aprons. One robot can deter birds, detect and remove foreign object debris (FOD), monitor runway surface condition and detect faulty light bulbs, with the components running in parallel. A centralised command centre manages the robots over wireless communication, and operational data is stored in cloud storage with APIs for integration with existing airport systems.

Its customers are airport owners and operators, for whom it offers inspection, maintenance and airside safety operations. The company describes its robot as fully electric.

Roboxi was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Stavanger, Norway. Its finance and development partner is Avinor, which operates 44 state-owned airports in Norway, and it receives funding from Innovasjon Norge.
