About Resomation

Resomation Ltd manufactures water cremators, equipment for water cremation (alkaline hydrolysis). The process returns the body to ashes using water and a small amount of alkali-based solution, and the ashes are returned to families. Its customers are funeral providers and funeral partners. The company supplies equipment to the funeral industry in the United States and works with funeral partners in other markets. LBBC Group was its exclusive manufacturing partner from 2008 and took a majority stake in the company in 2016.

Resomation Ltd was formed in Scotland in 2007 by Sandy Sullivan. Its headquarters are in Glasgow. The UK market is represented by the Kindly Earth brand, which is operated in partnership with Resomation Ltd. The first water cremator was built in 2009.
