About Remadrass
ReMadrass runs a collection, reuse and recycling service for discarded mattresses. Used mattresses are cleaned, repaired or re-covered and returned to furniture stores for resale, and mattresses that cannot be reused are processed into recyclable components.
Its customers include furniture retailers and producers, with IKEA and Scandic named among partners, as well as municipalities and other organisations that discard mattresses. The company is paid for its mattress handling services. It also announced plans to compress foam on site and to test reuse of foam in other products.
ReMadrass AS was founded in 2024 and is headquartered in Hønefoss, Norway. In its own announcements, the company reports a grant of just over 12.5 million NOK from Handelens Miljøfond, which it says it will use to scale its mattress reuse and recycling operations.
