Reforcetech

ReforceTech develops corrosion-free fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement for concrete, including basalt fiber (BFRP), glass fiber (GFRP) and MiniBars™ macro fiber reinforcement. The company states that its products are lighter than steel, have higher tensile strength and are approved and certified to international standards with engineering data and design guidelines.

Its customers are engineers and construction projects in infrastructure, precast construction and marine environments. The company sells its reinforcement products, and it claims savings of up to 50% in construction time, up to 50% reduction in material use and weight, and up to 50% lowering of the carbon footprint. A full-scale laboratory study by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) is cited as confirming MiniBars™ as shear reinforcement with a 70% capacity increase. The MiniBars™ product has received CE marking.

ReforceTech was founded in 1990 and is based in Røyken, Norway, where its operative, commercial and technical support activities and manufacturing are located. Growth in European markets is prioritised, with regional initiatives under development overseas. The company has announced a collaboration with Múrvirki in Iceland and has appointed a Director Central Europe.
