Refeyn

Refeyn develops and sells mass photometry instruments (including MyMassMP, TwoMP, SamuxMP and KaritroMP product families), along with MassGlass sample-prep consumables and software modules such as StreamlineMP Interactions. The technology measures the mass of individual molecules in solution by detecting light scattering as they bind to a glass surface.

Its customers are research and biopharmaceutical laboratories working on applications such as AAV and adenovirus quality, antibody aggregation, mRNA-LNP characterization and protein interactions. Revenue comes from instrument sales, consumables, service contracts and software, with service options ranging from Gold to Bronze tiers.

The company was founded in 2018 and spun out of the University of Oxford, where its HQ and manufacturing facilities are located. It opened US offices in Portland, Boston and Waltham, Massachusetts, and states that its instruments are installed in over 30 countries. Current job postings include R&D engineering and sales roles in Oxford, China, San Francisco and Waltham.
