About Ranch Computing

Ranch Computing operates an online render farm with CPU and GPU servers that render 3D scenes from software including 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, Houdini, Indigo and Maxwell. Users submit projects with the RANCHecker plugin and synchronise files with the RANCHSync application. The company also rents dedicated servers.

Its customers are 3D artists, freelancers and studios working in architecture, product visualisation, animation and VFX. Rendering is paid with RANCH credits that are deducted according to the computing used, with priority levels that set the maximum number of nodes or GPU cards. A 50% discount is offered for non-commercial academic projects.

Ranch Computing was founded in 2006 by Frédéric Louguet and Julien de Souza. It is based in Paris, where its servers are hosted on its premises. The company reports more than 700,000 rendered projects and more than 17,000 clients in over 150 countries, and lists its team at 18 members as of 2022.
