About Quantum Base
Quantum Base develops Q-ID®, a printed atomic fingerprint that a smartphone camera verifies in about three seconds, and Q-RAND®, a hardware component that generates true random numbers for cryptography and security systems.
Printers can add Q-ID® to their existing presses, and brand owners use it in tax stamps, pharmaceutical packaging, alcohol, luxury goods, automotive parts and secure documents. The company states that more than two billion Q-ID® codes protect products worldwide and that Q-ID® is supported by 40+ patents.
Quantum Base was founded in 2013 out of Lancaster University's physics department. Its shares are listed on the London Stock Exchange as LON: QUBE. The company is registered in Stockport, England, and its website names Lancaster as its headquarters.
