About Qimtek
Qimtek runs an online sourcing marketplace for custom manufactured parts. Buyers upload drawings, CAD files and PDFs, and UK subcontract manufacturers respond with quotes, lead times and supplier profiles. Covered processes include CNC machining, fabrication and welding, sheet metal forming, laser, waterjet and plasma cutting, plastic manufacturing, extrusions, casting and electronic manufacturing.
Customers are manufacturing buyers and design engineers who source parts, and UK engineering suppliers who join the network as members to receive sourcing leads. Buyers use the platform free of charge with unlimited users. The site names aerospace, defence, medical, energy and electronics among the industries served.
The company was founded in 2004 and is based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. The network includes over 200 UK-based suppliers, more than 75% of them ISO 9001 approved, and 1,500 registered buyers. Open roles listed on the careers page are for telesales sourcing and telesales hunting.
Product: Free online sourcing platform for custom parts, with quote upload, quote comparison, supplier profiles and buyer feedback tools.
