About Purple
Purple builds a cloud WiFi platform with three products: guest WiFi with branded captive portals and consented first-party data capture, staff WiFi using certificate-based 802.1X authentication, and multi-tenant WiFi that gives residents private networks. It runs as an overlay on existing access points from vendors such as Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba and Ruckus, and includes a cloud RADIUS service.
Its customers are venues in hospitality, retail, stadiums, healthcare, transport hubs, local government and residential buildings, with named deployments including Greene King and Pizza Express. Pricing is tiered: a free Connect plan, paid Capture and Engage plans, and custom quotes for staff and xPSK services.
Purple was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in Oldham, England. The company states that its platform is live across 80,000+ venues worldwide, that it is certified to ISO 27001, and that it is a B Corp. Its legal name is Purple WiFi Ltd.
Product: Guest WiFi, staff WiFi with EAP-TLS certificate authentication, and multi-tenant WiFi, delivered as a cloud overlay with cloud RADIUS.
