Prusa Research a.s. designs and manufactures FDM 3D printers, including the enclosed CORE One+ and CORE One L+, the XL+ toolchanger, the MK4S and MINI+, the Pro HT90 industrial printer and the Pro AFS automated print farm system. It also sells Prusament filaments, accessories and spare parts, and develops the PrusaSlicer software and the Prusa Academy online courses.
Customers include hobbyists and makers, schools and universities, small businesses, and enterprise and industrial users. Printers, materials and accessories are sold through the company's online shop, with price quotes offered for PRO and fleet orders.
The company was founded in 2017 and its headquarters are in Prague, Czech Republic, with a second headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. Its business began in 2012 as a one-man startup founded by Josef Prusa. The company reports more than 1,200 employees, over 10,000 printers shipped per month, and customers in more than 160 countries. Its open-source hardware, firmware and circuit board designs are published.
