Profound provides a marketing platform for Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). It tracks how AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews mention and cite a brand, and offers prompt-volume data, AI crawler monitoring and AI traffic attribution. Its AI Marketer product and configurable Agents draft content, ads and other marketing work for team review before anything is published.

The customers are marketing teams at brands and agencies. The company sells subscriptions: a free trial with limited AI Marketer credits and 50 prompts run daily for 7 days, and custom Enterprise packages that add SSO/SAML, SOC 2 compliance, tracking of up to 9 answer engines and dedicated support.

In February 2026 Profound announced a $96M Series C at a $1B valuation, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. A September 2026 blog post states the company has raised $180M. The careers page lists 79 open positions across engineering, sales, customer success, design and operations, with locations in New York, San Francisco, London and Buenos Aires. The company also runs Zero Click marketing summits in New York, San Francisco and London.
