Preventos Informatics

Preventos Informatics Oy develops Preventos Hero, a cloud-native SaaS that integrates IoT loggers, SCADA, asset registries and weather data for sewer and stormwater networks. It produces infiltration and inflow analytics that are data-quality-scored and weather-corrected. Water-network modules cover pressure, flow, leak localisation and water-quality monitoring. An asset-management optimisation module built on the US-EPA 10-step procedure is in pilot.

Customers are water utilities and municipalities in Finland, with public references including Vaasan Vesi, Kuopion Vesi and Kuopion kaupunki. Each utility runs in its own isolated environment on the same release. Services alongside the platform include IoT installations for field measurements, data-quality remediation, training and ongoing support.

The company was founded in 2018 in Finland and began with project consulting such as leak detection and flow measurement studies. Hero entered production with utility customers in 2023. Co-founders Pasi Pajula (CEO & CTO) and Mikko Pääkkönen (CIO) lead the company, which is registered in Hiltulanlahti. The company states that it intends to expand from Finland into the Nordic and wider European water sector.
