About Pre Diagnostics
Pre Diagnostics develops intracellular blood biomarkers for neurodegenerative diseases, with a first test aimed at early detection of Alzheimer's disease by measuring ongoing amyloid-beta clearance. Its biomarkers are intended for pharma clinical research, patient monitoring and screening, and diagnostics.
Through its subsidiary Pre Neurolab, the company offers analytical biomarker services using immunoassay platforms for research studies, with sample sizes from 50 to several thousands. The company says it works with several pharmaceutical companies on commercializing its biomarkers, with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease as the first targets.
Pre Diagnostics was founded in 2013 by Håkon Sæterøy and Erik Christensen and is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, with its laboratory at Horisont in Oslo. Its technology was first discovered in 2009 at Akershus University Hospital and licensed by the company.
