About Porter
Porterbuddy is a Norwegian last-mile delivery service for online orders. Recipients choose a delivery time, receive SMS updates and a tracking link, and can opt for contactless delivery with a photo of where the parcel was left. The company says it builds its own technology to plan efficient routes and uses electric vehicles for nearly all deliveries.
It works with hundreds of online stores, which it describes as the senders of the parcels, and delivers to consumers, who choose when and where the delivery takes place. The company also offers a service for businesses and is recruiting drivers through partner transport companies.
Porterbuddy was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Oslo. It is part of Instabee, formed in 2022 from the merger of Instabox and Budbee, which operates in six countries under the brands Budbee, Instabox and Porterbuddy. Deliveries cover Greater Oslo, Østfold, Vestfold, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger and Kristiansand, and the company states that its last-mile service reaches about 2.8 million households.
Product: Last-mile home delivery service for online orders with time-slot selection, SMS and tracking updates, and contactless drop-off.
