podcloud.fr

podCloud is a podcast hosting and listening platform launched in April 2014. It publishes podcasts as RSS feeds, lists them in a catalogue, and lets listeners subscribe, follow new episodes, create playlists, and sync listening across devices. Subscriptions and playlists can be exported as personal RSS feeds for use in other podcast apps. External podcast feeds added by users or partners are also listed.

Creators can host shows for free using their own storage, or pay 6 EUR per month for hosting on podCloud, with unlimited shows and episodes and a 30-day free trial. Hosted episodes are distributed to podcast apps and platforms, and the service offers listening statistics and an embeddable player. Video conversion is provided through the partner YouPod. Customers are podcast creators and listeners.

The company is based in France and was founded in 2014 within the PodShows association; it has since separated from the association. Giovanni Olivera (Pof Magicfingers) left his salaried job in January 2019 to run podCloud full time. The website reports 7,230 podcasts created on the platform by 6,049 producers, and 4,554 external RSS feeds referenced.

Product: Podcast hosting for creators (free or 6 EUR/month) and a podcast listening app with catalogue, subscriptions, playlists and RSS export.
