About Plinovodi
Plinovodi d.o.o. is the operator of the natural gas transmission system for the Slovenian domestic energy market and for transit routes. It develops, builds and manages the pipeline system and provides gas transmission across Slovenia, including access and capacity allocation at entry and exit points.
Its users are distribution system operators, large industrial consumers and electricity producers. Customers gain use of the transmission pipeline system by leasing transmission capacity from the company.
The company is based in Ljubljana, where its building maintenance department is located. It employs around 150 people, according to its website. In September 2026 it signed a memorandum of cooperation with ELES and Yokogawa Electric Corporation in Tokyo to develop a hydrogen ecosystem in Slovenia, with a first joint project examining links between the electricity and gas systems.
Product: Natural gas transmission over the Slovenian transmission pipeline system, with transmission capacity leased to system users.
