About Placehunter

Placehunter builds a mobile app listing day trips ("výlety") in the Czech Republic and abroad. The team selects, visits and photographs each place, and the app offers detailed descriptions with difficulty and GPS coordinates, categories, search, and a map view. The app is available on the App Store and Google Play.

The company also sells a paid Placehunter+ annual membership, both as a digital product and as a printed gift edition, and gift vouchers for the app. Its customers are individual travellers and day-trip planners who use the app or buy it as a gift.

Placehunter s.r.o. is registered in Prague, Czech Republic, and was founded on 19 February 2021. The website cites CzechCrunch reporting that Placehunter ranked first in a popularity competition for startups in Czechia.
