About Pe. Fiberoptics
PFO Instruments, trading as PE Fiberoptics, designs, manufactures and supplies test and measurement systems for optical fibers and fiber-optic cables. The product line covers chromatic dispersion, spectral attenuation, polarisation mode dispersion (CD, SPL and PMD systems), OTDR, bending loss, cutoff wavelength, mode field diameter, fiber geometry and fiber curl, configured to international testing standards.
The company serves customers in the optical fiber and cable markets worldwide and sells instruments as configurable systems, with support available by phone or e-mail. Its engineers adapt standard configurations to client-specific requirements.
The company has operated since 2005 and is registered in London; it runs its operations from premises in Wokingham, UK, which it moved into in 2023. PE Fiberoptics became independent through a management buyout of the fiber optic business of Perkin Elmer. Judges Scientific plc, an AIM-listed company, owns the company 100%. In March 2024 PE Fiberoptics acquired Luciol Instruments SA, a manufacturer of optical time-domain reflectometry equipment.
Product: Test and measurement instruments for optical fiber and fiber-optic cable: CD, SPL and PMD systems, OTDR systems, WS systems and FG systems.
