About Pathfinder Legal Services

Pathfinder Legal Services Ltd is an Alternative Business Structure law firm wholly owned by public bodies. It provides legal advice and assistance across five service areas, with a team of over 150 employees.

Its clients are public sector and not-for-profit organisations, including local authorities, children's trusts, Integrated Care Boards, foundation trusts, charities, and police and fire services, with more than 100 organisations in its client base. Clients can instruct the firm on a pay-as-you-go basis, under a partnership agreement, or as a shareholder. Dividends are returned to its local authority shareholders.

The firm was originally called LGSS Law Ltd, established in 2015, and was rebranded as Pathfinder Legal Services Ltd in September 2021. It is headquartered in Shefford, UK, and has three offices. It holds LEXCEL accreditation from the Law Society. Current vacancies include lawyer and senior lawyer roles in litigation, employment, health and adult social care, childcare and SEN.
