About PANARA
PANARA, a.s. develops and produces NonOilen®, a bioplastic granulate made from polymers from renewable sources and containing no synthetic, petroleum-based polymers. The material is described as 100% biologically degradable and compostable, with properties that can be modified for the customer.
The customers are manufacturers who use the granulate in their own products; the material is prepared according to each manufacturer's requirements. Listed application areas include gastro, medicine and agriculture. The company is headquartered in Nitra, Slovakia, and was founded in 2001.
NonOilen® was developed in cooperation with a research team from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, with research carried out partly at PANARA's premises in Nitra, where industrial production is also planned. ALPLA, an international manufacturer of plastic products, holds shares in PANARA.
