About Oxxius

Oxxius designs and manufactures laser sources for optical instrumentation. The product range includes FlexxRay CW and modulated lasers, single-frequency lasers, MaxxPower high-power diode modules, multi-line laser combiners and the LDI series of laser diode illuminators, which it acquired from 89 North. Applications include confocal microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, flow cytometry, metrology and quantum research.

Customers are universities, research institutes and OEMs in life sciences, scientific research and industrial instrumentation. Products are supplied to more than 40 countries, and the company also works with distributors worldwide.

Oxxius was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Lannion, France, where it has 70 employees at a single site. The company is ISO 9001 certified. In January 2026 it announced the acquisition of the US-based company 89 North, and in September 2026 it announced a €5 million raise to support international growth. Its investors include Xplore by Epopée Gestion and Go Capital, and it has received support from Bpifrance.
