OpenFaaS Ltd develops OpenFaaS, a serverless functions platform that deploys code to any Kubernetes cluster as portable OCI images. Functions scale automatically, can scale to zero when idle, and can be triggered by events from Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, GCP Pub/Sub, PostgreSQL, cron and MQTT. The company also offers SlicerVM for launching Firecracker microVMs via API, Actuated for self-hosted runners for GitHub Actions and GitLab CI, and Inlets for exposing localhost or Kubernetes services through cloud VMs.

The OpenFaaS project was originally created in 2016, and the legal entity OpenFaaS Ltd was founded in 2017 in the United Kingdom, with its headquarters in Peterborough. The team page lists founder Alex Ellis and an associate software developer on staff, alongside a community of contributors.
