About On the Block

On the Block is a secondhand clothing shop in the Itis shopping centre in Helsinki. It selects the items it sells one by one, keeping clean, well-kept clothing that fits current trends, and displays them in clothing-type categories and by size.

Private sellers bring items to the shop and pay a fee per sales package: DROP full-service at 15.90 € and DREAM self-pricing at 49.90 €. The sales period is just over 20 days. Handling fees are charged only for items selected for sale. A children's POP-UP offers up to 50 items without booking, with sales costs of a 50% commission and a 0.50 € handling fee per priced item. The company also donates 50% of the proceeds from items carrying its tag to the John Nurmisen Säätiö for Baltic Sea conservation work.

The company was founded in 2024 and operates in Helsinki. Its website is in Finnish.

Product: Consignment sales of curated secondhand clothing and children's items in a physical shop, under DROP and DREAM packages and a children's POP-UP.
